Tulip Palmyra is an impressive and expressive double early tulip that will fill the spring garden with glorious colour for weeks on end. This red red wine coloured tulip produces double the frills, creating this full effect on the flower that gardeners go crazy for. Palmyra is a perfect bloom for the early spring display, thriving in any flower bed, border, or container.

- Soil Type Well drained, fertile soil.
- Pruning Remove faded flowers, leave the stem and foliage until they have turned yellow/brown.
Tulip bulbs should be planted in autumn, before any frost. Find an area of soil that is well-drained and moist and plant your bulbs at twice their depth and spaced apart by 10-15cm. Ensure they are properly covered, you should not be able to see them on the surface of the soil. Position in an area that you know receives plenty of sunlight but is also sheltered from harsh winds. Deadhead the flowers once they wilt, encouraging a healthier plant.
