Tithonia Goldfinger, also known as the Mexican Sunflower, is a compact bloom in calm orange shades. They're quite similar to single Dahlias, where they'll grow to heights of 90cm. A perfect pick for the mid to back border. Flowers throughout summer and into autumn, giving you months of interest. Sow seeds directly outside from April to May or indoors from March to April.

Sow seeds from mid-spring onwards with warmth provided, ideally under cover, and in trays. Sow thinly and lightly cover with soil, keeping them warm as they germinate, as they will struggle if they're kept somewhere cold. Germination will roughly take 10-21 days. Thin and pinch out when seedlings are large enough to handle. Grow on and plant out after all danger of frost has passed. Space plants apart by 30-45 cm when mature.
