Carthamus Tinctorius Zanzibar, often known as the Saffron Thistle or False Saffron, produces vibrant orange thistle-shaped flower heads that are sometimes used as a colouring additive to foods in replacement of normal saffron. Great for cutting and drying, and perfect for the flower bed.
