  • Runner Bean Scarlet Emperor is an impressive crop that produces tasty beans, each of which are a great source of vitamin C and iron. These dark green pods sit on 3m tall stems, which will need staking to help stand tall. When harvesting, snap the pods to check the beans are a pale green. This means they are ready. Sow inside from April to May or outside from May to August.
