Dahlia Babylon Red is a striking Dinnerplate Dahlia variety that produces deep red double flowers that grow quite big - almost 20cm wide! Its strong stems and large flower heads make it a highly sought-after variety. Perfect for planting at the back of the border or en-masse for a superb summer display.

Dahlia tubers can be planted outdoors, 10cm deep in fertile well-drained soil in spring when the frost has disappeared. They prefer to be in a sunny location and spaced at approximately 45cm apart. In areas where there is extreme cold, dig up dahlias and store in potting compost over the winter. Apply a high potash fertiliser every few weeks in the summer to help growth. Dead head when necessary.
