Pieris japonica 'Mountain Fire' also known as the ‘lily of the valley shrub’, is an impressive evergreen that produces bright red leaves that mature to deep brown. It will also grow pretty nodding bell shaped blooms in spring, which look quite like lily of the valley blooms.
