Our Hollyhock Chaters Mix produces cottage garden favourites that will appear in shades of pinks, yellows, oranges, reds, and more. Decorates displays with peony-shaped blooms. This variety is a biennial, producing flowers in its second year of growth (but will grow foliage in their first year). These seeds are easy to grow, and the plants are effortless to maintain. Sow seeds inside from March to April or directly outside from May to June.

Sow seeds in small pots or trays from early spring to late summer, ensuring they're kept somewhere warm like a windowsill or heated greenhouse, as this will aid germination. Alternatively, you can sow these seeds directly outside in well-kept soil after all danger of frost has passed (often in May). Push seeds in by an inch and cover with a fine layer of soil. Regardless of where they're sown, keep the soil moderately moist during germination. Once they've reached heights of 5cm, thin so that they're spaced apart by 15-20cm. Make sure to plant out seedlings grown inside when they reach 5-7cm tall.
