Clematis Aromatica is an exceptional bush-forming, non-climbing flower. Producing beautiful dark purple flowers with a bright lemony/white stamen that sit against dark green foliage, this Clematis will stand out in the garden. Highly fragrant, ideal for growing around the patio or the garden border where the scent can be enjoyed.

- Planting Plant with plenty of room for the roots to expand/develop.
- Soil Type Humus rich, fertile and well drained soil.
- Pruning Prune in late winter to remove damaged/dead growth, approx 30-40cm from the ground. Cut back to healthy new buds.
Prune clematis back to keep it under control. Apply a liquid fertiliser each year during their growing season, and water regularly during hot periods. Clematis can be planted October-May in areas with good drainage and plenty of sun. Soak in a bucket of water prior to planting and plant deep enough to allow plenty of room for root development. The roots of clematis like to be kept cool so it is a good idea to plant amongst low growing shrubs or bedding plants. If planting in containers, ensure the pot is large enough to allow the roots to expand/develop, as limitation of roots will impede future success.
