Berberis Admiration

Berberis Admiration is a low growing deciduous shrub with striking foliage. Leaves appear in spring in shades of glowing orange-red, with each leaf developing a thin golden edge throughout the summer months. In autumn, the colours deepen and if the plant has flowered in the spring, crimson-red berries appear to complement the foliage. Berberis are easy to grow and Admiration is no exception. It is listed on the RHS Plants for Pollinators and has also received the RHS AGM (Award of Garden Merit) This variety can be grown in any position, but we recommend planting in full sun, where the foliage will develop in its most vibrant form. Why not try planting with other plants of a similar colour scheme or using them as a contrast to deep, dark purples.
