Agapanthus northern star, fondly known as the African Lily, are bold hardy perennial plants which are superb for containers or borders. Reaching impressive heights of around 1m, its dark purple flowers are certainly the star of the show... flowering in summer but its foliage will appear from spring to autumn! First grade loose rooted plants supplied.

To plant loose rooted agapanthus, start by soaking the roots in a bucket of water for 1-2 hours beforehand. Then, dig a hole in the border that‚Äôs big enough to house the root system. If you‚Äôre planting them in pots, then fill a large pot halfway with soil, adding the crown of the plant pointing upwards. Ensure the crown is just below the soil. Water well once planted. Loose rooted agapanthus should be planted in spring directly into the garden somewhere that gets plenty of sunshine.
