Marrow Tiger Cross F1 is a winner for the RHS Award of Garden Merit, and it's easy to see why. Produces prolific fruits with marrows like a tiger, although in green shades. Produces a bushy habit, and can be cut young for courgette, or left to mature for larger marrows.

Sow seeds indoors from April to May under glass, or directly outside from May to June. Sow seeds on their sides in pots and keep under glass. Harden off once they've developed their first pair of leaves, transplanting outside from late May, about 60cm apart. Directly sow seeds into the site about 1.5 cm deep, with 2-3 seeds in each section and 60cm apart. Pick regularly to encourage regular bouts of marrows.
